Order a half size down!, November 8, 2011 This review is from: Sorel Women's Milano Breve Boot (Apparel) I really like these boots! I purchased them in the black option. They don't look big and clunky, which was the selling point for me. They feel very sturdy and are nice and warm for the cold Saskatchewan winters! I can see these lasting for quite a few cold seasons.
The interior of the black boot is a grey plaid and comes with an insole. All of the buttons and the buckle are fully operational so you can undo the boots rather than just slipping them on if that is your preference. The bottom soles have moderate traction - you still will need to tread pretty carefully on icy surfaces.
I usually wear a size 8, which is what I ordered. I found that when standing, they felt perfect, but once I started to walk, they felt like they were going to fall off. I easily remedied the situation by putting on extra thick socks. I also intend to purchase some thicker insoles for the days when thick socks are not required. She was visiting and it had snowed right before Christmas. The family was going for a hike and I gave her the boots a day early. They fit great-she wears a 6.5 and that is the size I ordered. They were nice and warm and most importantly, waterproof. Stylish as well.
Fell apart, May 12, 2012 This review is from: Sorel Women's Milano Breve Boot (Apparel) I bought these in black. I live in Edmonton and was so excited to finally find a pair of boots that looks nice and is warm. Then I wore them a few times, and on the 3rd or 4th time the entire back of the inner liner ripped apart (beyond repair).
Not impressed, I was under the impression that Sorels were good quality, evidently not.
Don't buy these if you want something that lasts.
